Dear Sophia Commanducci:

I have reviewed your appeal to receive Credit standing in ENGL 237 (F 2019) as well as change the grade you received in FILM 392 (F 2019) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal.

The instructor of FILM 392 (F 2019) has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as an A along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€. Your grade in ENGL 237 (F 2019) will appear on your transcript as CR.

I am pleased to see that you will continue to work with your Physician and encourage you to consider registering with QSAS if ongoing accommodations are required. A QSAS Advisor can assist with both your health and academics. I am also pleased to see that you are carrying a lighter course load this term which I trust is more manageable at this time.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
