I was sorry to have read in your letter of appeal that you were ill during Fall term 2017 and that your aunt and father passed away during that term. No doubt that was a difficult time for you and your family and I will grant your appeal to drop LIBS 100 (F 2017) past the academic deadline based on those circumstances.

I encourage you to reach out to our Student Wellness Services office Grace and consider registering with QSAS if you require ongoing accommodation for your illness. They can assist you with both your health and your academics.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
