I was sorry to read of the circumstances you outlined in your letter of appeal. No doubt this has been difficult to deal with and I will grant your appeal to drop BIOL 212 (F 2019) past the academic deadline based on that circumstance.

I encourage you to continue to work with your health care providers and if your circumstances require ongoing accommodations Mary, you may want to register with QSAS who can help support both your health and academics by putting in place appropriate accommodations so you can meet your course work requirements.

Going forward, I encourage you to pause and evaluate your progress in courses during week 7 of the term and if you have been unable to keep up with the course requirements or feel that dropping a course is in your best interest, you should do so by the week 8 drop date deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
