I was sorry to read of the difficult challenges you faced last year and I have reviewed your appeal to change the grade you received in POLS 384 (F 2019) to Aegrotat standing based on those circumstances. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information I have received from the instructor, I have decided to grant your appeal.

The instructor has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed and your grade in POLS 384 will appear on your transcript as B- along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

I encourage you to continue to seek support from Student Wellness Services as well as the additional supports you have wisely reached out to as needed. I also suggest that going forward, you evaluate the impact of your challenges on your future studies prior to week 8 of term and drop courses if necessary at that time.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
