I was sorry to read of the dental challenges you outlined in our letter of appeal and I have carefully considered your request to drop FREN 106 (S 2020) past the academic deadline based on that circumstance. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web page. Please ensure you assess your progress in your courses or discuss your options with an Academic Advisor prior to the academic drop date deadline. If you find that you have fallen behind in your assignments, it is your responsibility to drop courses by the drop date deadline. Appeals for late drops are typically only granted when a problem occurs, or becomes acute, after the drop deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
