I am sorry to have read of the health issues that you experienced during the past academic year and acknowledge the impact that they had on your Winter term courses. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ECON 110 (FW 2019/2020) passed the academic deadline and add ECON 111 (F 2019) so that you can receive credit for the work you did in the Fall portion of this course. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
ECON 110 will be removed from your transcript and ECON 111 will be added to your Fall 2020 registration with the final grade of A- as calculated by Dr. Cromb. Please note that as you hope to pursue an ECON plan, you are still required to take ECON 112/3.0.
I have granted this appeal based on your extenuating circumstances but going forward, you should pause to evaluate the impact of your health on your studies during week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by week 8 of term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
