Dear Yingqiu Sang:
I have reviewed your request to complete 6.0 units of electives on an International Letter of Permission for your BSC (Honours) degree at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China. As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s.€ I recognize however, that you are living in China for the current academic term and that upon successful completion of your currently enrolled Queen€™s courses you will need 6.0 units of electives to meet your degree requirements. I have therefore decided to grant this request.
You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office and I would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.
Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
Finally, please be advised that a student can complete a maximum of 54.0 transfer units towards their BA Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
