Dear Alessia Rizzello,
I am sorry to have read in your appeal letter the challenges you experienced with course work prior to your Psychoeducation evaluation and I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in ECON 111 (F 2018) and STAT 263 (F 2019) to Credit standing based on that recent assessment. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal.
Your grade in these courses will appear on your transcript as CR.
I encourage you to continue to work with your QSAS advisor as you strengthen your learning and testing techniques.
Going forward, a good practise for all students Alessia, is to pause and evaluate their progress during week 7 of the term and if a student finds they have fallen behind or are unable to manage the workload, students should drop courses by the week 8 drop date deadline.
Best of luck in your courses this year.
Sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
