I am sorry to have read of the challenges you have outlined in your letter of appeal and I have carefully considered your request to drop STAT 263 (F 2020) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I encourage you to reach out to Student Wellness Services or your health care provider who may be able to offer you support at this time. Going forward, I am confident that you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web page. Please ensure you assess your progress in your courses or discuss your options with an Academic Advisor during week 7 or 8 of the term. If you find that you have fallen behind in your attendance, readings or assignments, it is your responsibility to drop by the end of week 8. Appeals for late drops are typically only granted when a problem occurs, or becomes acute, after the drop deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
