I am sorry to read that you have been struggling to manage your courses due to challenges related to COVID19. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop MUTH 110 and RELS 140 (F 2020) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Please note you can drop your full year courses (FILM 110 and PSYC 100) on SOLUS.

I am granting this request based on your circumstances and documentation as well as your proactive steps to seek support and treatment. I am also pleased to see that you are carrying a lighter course load during this current Winter term. Going forward I suggest that you carefully assess whether you are managing your studies along with your health-related challenges and if you are not able to manage your studies effectively, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop date deadline. Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after the drop date or whose problems become more acute and is not meant to manage ongoing challenges. I also encourage you to consider registering with QSAS if ongoing assistance is required. A QSAS Advisor can help put into place accommodations that can assist you with both your health and your academics.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
