I have carefully considered your appeal to drop DEVS 392, POLS 391 (F 2018) and POLS 385 (W 2019) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in POLS 384, POLS 367 (F 2018) and DEVS 293, POLS 347 (W 2019). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grades in POLS 384, POLS 367, DEVS 293 and POLS 347 will appear on your transcript as CR.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances and I encourage you to continue to work with your Counsellor as well as to follow through with the lifestyle changes you outlined in your letter of appeal. Going forward, you should pause and evaluate your progress in courses prior to week 8 of term and drop courses if you have fallen behind or find that there are circumstances impacting your studies.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
