I was sorry to read of the circumstances you outlined and I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHIL 111 (FW 2020/21), POLS 212, GPHY 370 and POLS 280 (W 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that I have exercised some leniency in this decision, acknowledging that you missed the drop date deadline by only a few days, as well as the challenges you outlined. Going forward, I am confident you will be more mindful of the deadline and suggest that you drop your courses a few hours before the deadline in case any unforeseen challenges arise again.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
