I was sorry to read of the circumstances you outlined in your letter of appeal and I do understand that students have experienced additional challenges this year due to COVID19. I have carefully considered your request to drop HIST 106 (W 2021) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on your documentation and circumstances and since you missed the drop date deadline by only a few days. Going forward, I am confident you will be more mindful of the deadline and suggest that you drop your courses prior to the drop date deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
