Dear Ms. Fulton:

I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in SOCY 210 and GNDS 212 (F 2014) to Credit standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that according to the Arts and Science Calendar, a minimum grade of C is required in SOCY 210 to be permitted to take the 4th year SOCY courses you need to graduate with your BAH Honours degree. Your grade will appear on your transcript as CR and it indicates that you have obtained the credit, and it will count towards your total units needed for graduation, but it will not necessarily serve as the prerequisite to continue with your required 4th year courses. It is up to the discretion of the Sociology department to determine how your CR grade will count (you may be required to repeat the course to meet this prerequisite).
