I am sorry to have read of the passing of your Grandmothers and want to offer you my condolences. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CHEM 112 (FW 2020/2021) after the academic deadline and have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal as I acknowledge that you have been impacted by bereavement and recognize that you were unable to make academic decisions surrounding the Winter term drop deadline in March. Going forward, I suggest that you inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web page and ensure that courses are dropped on SOLUS successfully before the posted drop deadline if this impact continues.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
