I am sorry to read that you have been struggling to manage this course along with challenges related to a personal situation as well as COVID19. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop HLTH 200 (W 2021) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
I have exercised some leniency in this decision, acknowledging the challenges related to remote learning and how some courses have adapted better than others, as well as the impact that COVID19 has had on your studies. Going forward however, I suggest that you carefully assess whether you are able to manage your studies along with life challenges as well as evaluating how you are progressing in a course, and if you are not able to manage your studies effectively, you should drop courses by the drop date deadline. Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after the drop date or whose problems become more acute and is not meant to manage ongoing challenges related to the structure of a course or a student€™s health.
Please note that a notation of DR will be placed on your transcript once the grades are released in May. If you wish to appeal for a tuition refund, you must do that through the Registrar€™s Office.
