Dear Rose Wagner,

I was sorry to have read of your ongoing health issues as well as the recent passing of your family members. I have reviewed your appeal to drop ENGL 297 and ENGL 290 (Winter 2021) after the academic deadline, and I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances and was happy to read that you have connected with the appropriate health care supports and are considering a reduced course load for future terms. Going forward, I would suggest that you consider registering for QSAS (if you haven€™t done so already) so that you can work with an advisor to help you manage your academics along with your health-related challenges.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
