I was sorry to read that you have been struggling to manage this course remotely from an international location. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CISC 121 (W 2021) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I acknowledge your reasons for not dropping this class before the academic deadline but want to point out that the drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students. Going forward, I am confident that you carefully assess whether you are able to manage your classes remotely before the drop deadline of the term so that you can reduce your course load accordingly before this date.
