Dear Madeline Ball:
I have reviewed your request to complete 18.0 units of 400-level HIST courses on a Letter of Permission for your BA (Honours) degree at York University for the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 academic year and have decided to grant your request.
As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s€ however, I acknowledge that you have obtained the support of your Department for this request and that you also plan to take 12.0 units of electives online through Queen€™s along with these courses so that you can graduate in the Spring of 2022.
You may now apply for a Letter of Permission at https://www.queensu.ca/artsci/students-at-queens/letter-of-permission.
Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
Finally, please be advised that a student can complete a maximum of 57.0 transfer units towards their BA Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
