Dear Fahad Khan:

I am sorry to have read in your letter of appeal of the extenuating circumstances that you had experienced during the 2019/2020 academic year in part due to COVID. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHIL 259 (F 2019) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I acknowledge that you were granted an Incomplete Grade to complete this course during the subsequent Winter 2020 term and that due to an unexpected sickness and the COVID-19 pandemic, you were unable to do so successfully.

As I mentioned in your previous appeal Decision Letter related to dropping your Summer 2020 classes, I want to remind you to continue to work with your health care team including your QSAS advisor who can help you manage both your health and your academics.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
