I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CISC 101 (S 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your situation, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the extenuating circumstance you have described but I need to warn you that this is a lenient decision, as it is a student€™s responsibility to keep track of drop date deadlines. Typically, competing demands due to work commitments is not considered an extenuating circumstance. Although you have submitted documentation, it does not provide me with the information I would normally require which would indicate the severity and impact a circumstance is having on a student and their studies.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
