I have carefully considered your appeal to drop MUSC 171 (Summer 2021) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I see that you are a St. Lawrence College student enrolled in the Bachelor of Musical Theatre program through Queen€™s. I have granted this appeal as I acknowledge that this is the first term that you have enrolled in classes at and may not have been aware of our regulations regarding deadlines. Going forward, I am confident that you will make every effort to check your schedule in SOLUS as well as to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web website and to ensure that courses are dropped on SOLUS successfully before the posted drop deadline.

I also want to remind you that you are enrolled in ENIN 140 for the July€“August Summer term session. If you do not intend to participate in this class, I suggest that you drop it in SOLUS before the academic deadline. An appeal based on this same circumstance in the future may not be as successful.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
