I was sorry to read that you have been struggling with health-related challenges during the current term. I have carefully considered your appeal to drop WRIT 125 (Summer 2021) past the academic deadline and I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances as well as the proactive steps that you had taken by connecting with your instructor when you began to feel unwell. Upon your return to studies, I am confident that you will evaluate the impacts of your health on your academics during week 7 of each term so that you can be sure to drop classes before the academic deadline if needed.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
