Dear Xianzhi Zhang:

Your request to apply for an International Letter of Permission for more than 6.0 units during the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 academic year has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

Please know that a maximum of 57.0 transfer units can be included within the total units required for a BAH Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3) including a maximum of 24.0 units toward a Major plan and 12.0 units toward a Minor plan. As you have already transferred 12.0 units of courses toward your GPHY Major plan and 12.0 units of courses toward your MATH Minor, we will allow you to apply for up to 12.0 units of GPHY courses in the Fall 2021 term at Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia. Your remaining requirements must be completed through Queen??s University.

As per Academic Regulation 3.2.2. In any Fall-Winter period, full-time students may be registered in no more than 18.0 units in either of the Fall or Winter Terms, including any courses being taken elsewhere on a Letter of Permission. We therefore suggest that you consider taking 6.0 units of courses through Queen??s University along with 12.0 units on an International Letter of Permission during the Fall 2021 term to ensure that you are meeting your requirements before your desired graduation date.

You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

We wish you well in your studies.

On behalf of
Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
