I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GEOL 200 (S 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have exercised significant leniency in this decision since an appeal to drop a course late would normally be based on documented extenuating circumstances. However, I have noted you did believe you had dropped the course and I received information from your instructor confirming that you had not submitted any course work.

Going forward, I suggest that you review SOLUS after you complete any future drops to ensure that the proper steps were followed. Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter documented extenuating circumstances.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
