Dear Ryan Sivertson:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CHEM 285 (S 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the circumstances you outlined regarding the status of the offering of BIOL404 and certainly there was some confusion regarding that course being available.

Going forward Ryan, a good practice for all students is to appraise their progress in courses by the drop deadlines and to determine whether they??ve kept up with their readings, quizzes, began working on assignments, etc. If not, a student may drop a course without academic penalty by the drop date.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
