Dear Ty Di Nardo:

I was sorry to read of the challenges you outlined in your letter of appeal and I have carefully considered your request to drop ENIN 140, HLTH 101 (F20), ENIN 240 (W21), DRAM 100 and FILM 110 (FW 2020/2021) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request which will also remove Faculty ruling that you be Required to Withdraw for One Year.. You may now resume your studies at Queen's University.

I acknowledge that this was your first year at Queen??s University and I have granted this appeal based on the steps that you have taken by registering with QSAS. Going forward, you must continue to work with your QSAS Advisor to help you better manage the impact of your health on your academics as well as utilize academic consideration and accommodations in your classes as needed. A chronic condition such as this may not be grounds for a future appeal.

I also suggest that you evaluate your academic progress during week 7 of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in or find the material too difficult in by week 8 of the term. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
