Dear Yawen Zhang:

Your request to apply for an International Letter of Permission for more than 6.0 units during the 2021 term has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that ??normally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen??s.? However, after reviewing your file, we will allow you to apply for 9.0 units of electives at Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia (UCAM) in addition to the 15.0 units of courses that you are enrolled in (or on the waitlist for) at Queen??s University to total a maximum of 24.0 units in the 2021 Fall term.

Please know that this is a very heavy course load. If you find that this is more than you can handle, please be sure to drop courses by the published deadline(s). The last day to drop a Queen??s University Fall term course is November 1st, 2021. Also, choosing to take more than the recommended number of classes does not constitute sufficient grounds to appeal to retroactively drop a class after the deadline to drop, nor to request extensions to deadlines.

Also, a maximum of 57.0 transfer units can be included within the total units required for a BAH Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).

You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

We wish you well in your studies.

On behalf of
Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
