Dear Tiger An,

Your appeal requesting to add CHEM 212 (Fall 2021) past the academic deadline has been granted on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic). Tuition fees for this course will be charged to your student account once it has been added to your transcript.

It is your responsibility to catch up on any late or missed work in the course and the instructor is not obligated to accommodate any student due to late registration. I would suggest you contact your instructor to discuss the best way to catch up in this course. Please ensure that you monitor your academic progress very carefully and drop courses as needed within the academic deadlines. Registering late for a course is not considered grounds for appealing to drop after the published deadline.

Also know that taking 18.0 units of courses in one term is a very heavy course load. If you find that this is more than you can handle, please be sure to drop courses by the published deadline(s). Also, choosing to take more than the recommended number of classes does not constitute sufficient grounds to appeal to retroactively drop a class after the deadline to drop, nor to request extensions to deadlines.

You will be added to OnQ once you are registered by the Registrar??s Office, which should be within the next couple of days.

Best of luck in this course.

Sincerely,

(for) Jill Atkinson Ph.D
