Student Name: Ashley Schachter
Student Email: 19as75@queensu.ca
Dear Ashley Schachter:
Your request to apply for an International Letter of Permission for more than 6.0 units during the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 academic year has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).
As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that ??normally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen??s.? However, after reviewing your file, we will allow you to apply for 15.0 units of courses in the Winter 2022 term at the American University of Paris.
Please know that as per Academic Regulation 3.2.2. In any Fall-Winter period, full-time students may be registered in no more than 18.0 units in either of the Fall or Winter Terms, including any courses being taken elsewhere on a Letter of Permission. Also, a maximum of 57.0 transfer units can be included within the total units required for a BAH Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).
You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.
Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
We wish you well in your studies.
On behalf of
Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
