Dear Anna Eberlee:

Your request to apply for a Letter of Permission for more than 6.0 units during the 2021/2022 Academic year has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that ??normally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen??s.? However, after reviewing your file, and the support that you??ve received from your Department, we will allow you to apply for up to 15.0 units at either Trinity College or the University of Edinburgh for the 2022 Winter term.

Please know that as per Academic Regulation 3.2.2. In any Fall-Winter period, full-time students may be registered in no more than 18.0 units in either of the Fall or Winter Terms, including any courses being taken elsewhere on a Letter of Permission. Also, a maximum of 57.0 transfer units can be included within the total units required for your Bachelor of Arts Honours degree program and a maximum of 24.0 transfer units can be included within the total units required for your major plan (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3).

You may now apply for your Letter of Permission. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with the International Programs Office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs Office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

We wish you well in your studies.

On behalf of
Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
