I was sorry to have read in your letter of appeal that your grandfather passed away, no doubt that has been difficult for you and your family and I will grant your appeal for Credit standing in PHYS 118 (S 2021) based on that circumstance and the documentation you have provided. Your grade in PHYS 118 will be changed to a CR on your transcript.

I encourage you to continue to work with your counsellor as you manage your grief Serena. Additionally, I suggest you familiarize yourself with our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment, had to miss a class, or need to defer an exam due to documented extenuating circumstances.
