Dear Ella Pahal:

I am sorry to have read in your letter of appeal that the COVID 19 vaccine impacted your exam performance in PHYS 118 (S 2021). I have reviewed your appeal to change the grade you received in that course to Credit standing and after careful consideration of your appeal and the information I received from your instructor, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grade in this course will appear on your transcript as CR.

I would like to note that I have exercised some leniency in this decision. In the future, you should not attempt an exam when you are not well as normally that is considered a valid attempt and the grade would stand. Going into an exam sick and then receiving a low grade and asking to have it removed is not typically allowed.
