Dear Yunhao Li:

I was sorry to read in your letter of appeal the challenges you outlined, and I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GRMN 101 (W 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on your circumstances and the??documentation submitted. Going forward you will be responsible for managing the impact of your condition on your academics proactively and not after the fact via the appeal process. I encourage you to carefully evaluate your progress in each of your courses prior to the drop deadline and if you have fallen behind or you are not performing in the course to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the drop deadline. Please do not wait until you receive your grades and then request a drop for those that are failures.

Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop date deadline is our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to a documented extenuating circumstance.
