Dear Jack Trachuk,
I am sorry to have read in your appeal letter the challenges you outlined in your letter of appeal and I have reviewed your request to change the grades you received in SOCY 122, FILM 110, POLS 110 (FW 2017/18); POLS 211, WRIT 125 (F 2018); RELS 131 (FW 2018/19); POLS 212, RELS 163 (W 2019) to Credit standing. After careful consideration, I have decided to grant your appeal.
Your grade in SOCY 122, FILM 110, POLS 110, POLS 211, WRIT 125, RELS 131, POLS 212 and RELS 163 will appear on your transcript as CR.
Based on the information and documentation presented in your appeal, I am also willing to drop PSYC 100 (FW 2017/18) past the academic deadline as well. If you would like to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this letter and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript.
Going forward, I encourage you to carefully evaluate your progress in each of your courses prior to the drop deadline in Week 7 and if you have fallen behind or you are not performing in a course to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the drop deadline at the end of Week 8.
Another tool to manage your academics is our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances. Here is the link for information about that process:

Best of luck in your courses and degree progression.
Sincerely,
Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
