I was sorry to read that you have experienced challenges this term, particularly related to PSYC 271 and the weighting of the final exam in that course. Based on your letter and your documentation, I will grant your appeal to drop PSYC 271 (F 2021) past the academic deadline.
Ella, I encourage you to continue to work with your health professionals and if ongoing accommodation is needed in the future, you may want to register with QSAS. A QSAS Advisor can offer support for both your health and academics. Going forward, I suggest that you to carefully evaluate your progress in your courses prior to week 7 and if you have fallen behind or you are not performing in courses to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop deadline.
Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop date is our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances.
