I have carefully considered your appeal to drop FILM 217, SOCY 210, SOCY 226, SOCY 336, SOCY 352 (Fall 2020), HIST 228, SOCY 227, SOCY 300, SOCY 309, SOCY 363, and SOCY 388 (Winter 2021) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal based on the timeline and severity of your extenuating circumstances as reported in your appeal letter. Going forward, I encourage you to evaluate your academic progress during Week 7 of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in, or in which you find the material too difficult, by the Week 8 drop deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
