Dear Brando,

I am sorry to have read in your appeal letter the challenges you outlined, due in part to COVID19, and I have reviewed your request to change the grades you received in PSYC 241 (F 2020) and PSYC 321 (F 2021) to Credit standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the learning outcomes achieved in these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal.

Your grades in PSYC 241 and PSYC 321 will appear on your transcript as CR.

I encourage you to continue to work with your health professional and to pause during week 7 of term and carefully evaluate whether you have been keeping up with your courses and achieving the grades you desire. If not, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop deadline.

Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop deadline is our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances. Here is the link for information about that process:

Best of luck in your current courses.

Sincerely,

Amitava Chowdhury, Ph.D.
