Dear Pascale Luers:
I have reviewed your appeal to request drop PHYS 242, PHYS 206, and MATH 221 (F21) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your appeal. Your grades in these classes will be replaced by a DR notation on your transcript.
I have granted this appeal due to the severity of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed within the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, I suggest that you consider registering with QSAS so that you can work with an accommodation advisor to help you manage the impact of your health on your academics. I also encourage you to evaluate your academic progress during Week 7 of the term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in, or in which you find the material too difficult, by the Week 8 drop deadline.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
