I have carefully considered your appeal to drop SOCY 276 (W 2022) past the academic deadline and after reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I want to remind you that the appeal process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic condition however, I acknowledge that the impacts of your extenuating circumstances are continuing to impact this course and that you had submitted your appeal very close to the drop deadline. Going forward, you should pause and evaluate your progress in your courses during week 7 of term, and if you have fallen behind or your health is impacting your studies, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students at Queen's.
