Dear Ms. Drouin:

I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in ANAT 316 and KNPE 227 (W 2015) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided the following:

I will grant your request for AG standing in KNPE 227. Your final grade in this course will appear on your transcript as C along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

Because you completed all of the work required for ANAT 316, you are not eligible for Aegrotat standing in this course. However, you are eligible for Credit standing instead. Given your circumstances, I would be willing to allow you to replace the D+ on your transcript with a CR, meaning that you earned credit for ANAT 316 but there is no grade assigned and it is not included in your cumulative GPA. If you would like to accept the CR grade, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this decision and we will make the change to your transcript.

I would strongly encourage you to continue monitoring your academic progress carefully and make adjustments as needed, as you state in your appeal letter. If you find that a full course load is too heavy, please ensure that you drop as many courses as needed within the academic deadlines published on the Faculty of Arts and Science website under Important Dates.

Sincerely,

Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Studies)
