I have carefully considered your appeal for an Extension of an Incomplete Grade in POLS 318 (Fall 2021). After reviewing your file and the information that I received from your instructor, I have decided to deny your request.
I acknowledge that you had requested an extension on the final assignment in this class due to the ongoing impacts of your extenuating circumstances. The information that I received from your instructor indicates that they had graciously allowed you an additional month to complete this outstanding work. It is my understanding that you didn??t attempt to submit this final assignment until three weeks after the agreed upon extended deadline. As you were accommodated appropriately by the instructor of this class for the outstanding assignment, I cannot grant an Extension of an Incomplete Grade.
I understand that this is a disappointing decision, but I am willing to allow you to drop POLS 318 (F21) after the academic deadline based on the bereavement related extenuating circumstances that you outlined in your appeal letter.
