I am sorry to have read in your appeal letter the circumstances you outlined in PSYC 333 (W 2022) and I have reviewed your appeal to change the grade you received in that course to Credit standing. After careful consideration of the circumstances outlined and the documentation submitted as well as the information supplied by the instructor, I will grant your appeal.

I was pleased to receive the input from Professor Tassone who commented that the course readings included some material that was oppressive in ways to those with specific identities and/or experiences relating to equity-seeking groups. Professor Tassone confirmed that you had to do considerable work that was time-consuming, emotionally-distressing, and cognitively demanding to identify the problematic material and explain it to him and I commend you for your patience as you attempted to enlighten this instructor on course content.

Your grade in PSYC 333 (W 2022) will appear on your transcript as CR.
