I have carefully considered your appeal to waive the Faculty ruling that you be Required to Withdraw for One Year. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.
Given your circumstances, I will also drop HIST 228, ENGL 276 (F 2021); ENGL 234, ENGL 273, HIST 223, HIST 453, HIST 416 (W 2022) past the academic drop deadline. Your grades in these courses will be changed to DRs on your transcript which will have a positive impact on your GPA and remove the Requirement to Withdraw ruling.
As you continue in your course of study it is your responsibility to take steps for the successful completion of your program and maintain a GPA consistent with the requirements of your Plan. These are some strategies that I strongly encourage you to consider:
?? Choose courses carefully. As you may know, achieving a higher grade in a repeated course will improve your GPA. This course of action will help to ensure you will be in good academic standing when your transcript is next assessed.
?? Reflect on your program choice. Are you in the right Plan/set of courses for your interests and aptitudes?
?? Seek out the advice necessary to improve your academic performance. Academic counselling is available through your Plan department, or you can book an appointment with an advisor in the Faculty of Arts and Science Student Services Office.
