I am sorry to have read in your letter the challenges you experienced during the past academic year which impacted your studies. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the support from your instructors indicating that the learning outcomes in your courses were achieved, I have decided to grant your appeal for credit standing in STAT 263 (F 2021); PHGY 215, PHGY 216, MICR 221 (W 2022).

Your grades in these courses will appear on your transcript as CR.
Maya, I do need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic condition. Instead, I encourage you to continue to work with your health care team and to consider registering with QSAS if you have not done so already, and work with an accommodation advisor to help manage your health and academics.

Going forward, you should pause and evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term. The week 8 drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students at Queen's.

Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop deadline is our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances.
