Dear Aabha Chindarkar:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop SOCY 275 and SOCY 276 (W22) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I have granted this appeal due to the severity and academic impacts of your extenuating circumstances as confirmed by the documentation that you supplied. Going forward, it is your responsibility to evaluate your academic progress during Week 7 of each term and make sure to drop courses that you have fallen behind in, or in which you find the material too difficult, by the Week 8 drop deadline. The drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the ??Important Dates? section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students. I also suggest that you consider registering with Queen??s Student Accessibility Services so that you can work with an Accommodation Advisor to manage the impact of your health on your academics going forward.

Due to the impacts of your extenuating circumstances during the 2022 Winter term, I am also willing to allow you to drop both FILM 227 and SOCY 218 (W22) after the academic deadline. If you would like to accept this offer, please email asc.appeals@queensu.ca within 21 days of receiving this letter and we will make the appropriate changes to your transcript.
