I am sorry to have read in your petition letter the challenges you experienced in RELS 163 (W 2022), and I have reviewed your request to change the grade you received in that course to Credit standing. After careful consideration of the circumstances outlined and the documentation submitted, I have decided to grant your appeal.

Your grade in RELS 163 will appear on your transcript as CR.

Angela, I encourage you to continue to work with QSAS and your support network, and as a reminder, a good practice for all students is evaluate their progress in their courses prior to week 7. If you have fallen behind or you are not performing in the courses to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop deadline.

Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop date is our Academic Consideration service. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances.
