Dear Yunxiang Zou:

Your request to apply for more than 6.0 units on an International Letter of Permission during the Fall 2022 term has been approved on behalf of the Associate Dean (Academic).

As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that ??normally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen??s.? However, after reviewing your file, we will allow you to take up to 9.0 units of courses from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University during the 2023 Winter term. Please know that students can take up to 18.0 units per term including courses that they are enrolled in at another University.

Please also know that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are meeting your degree requirements by following your Academic Progress Report in SOLUS. According to your report you are currently enrolled in MATH 326/3.0 at Queen??s and still require the following 15.0 units of courses in addition to this course:
?? 12.0 units of electives ?? we understand that you are currently taking 6.0 units of these on a ILOP at another school during the current Fall term
?? 3.0 units from MATH, STAT, BIOM at the 300-level or above

You may now apply for an International Letter of Permission through the International Programs Office. We would strongly suggest that you remain closely connected with this office so that you can be made aware of potential disruptions to your international studies if they shall happen.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the International Programs office upon completion of the courses. Please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.

Finally, please be advised that you are allowed to complete a maximum of 57.0 transfer units towards your BSC Honours degree (see Academic Regulation 16.1.3) with a maximum of 24.0 units counting within your MATH Major.

We wish you well in your international studies.

On behalf of
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Academic)
