I am sorry to have read that you have struggled with health-related challenges this term, and that there was some confusion regarding your ability to drop MATH 221 (F 2022). After reviewing the circumstances outlined and receiving permission from Professor Peter Taylor, Undergraduate Chair of the Mathematics and Statistic Department to drop the course even though it is a co-requisite for STAT 268, I will grant your request.
Going forward, I encourage you to carefully evaluate your progress in each of your courses prior to the week 8 drop deadline and if you have fallen behind or you are not performing in courses to your satisfaction, you should drop courses by the drop deadline.
Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop date deadline is our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or had to miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances. Ivan, I strongly encourage you continue to work with a health professional and to proactively manage the impact of your condition on your academics.
