Dear Katherine:

I was sorry to read the challenges you outlined in your petition letter, and I have carefully considered your request to extend the INcomplete grade in DEVS 354 (W 2022). After reviewing your file and receiving support from Professor McDonald, I have decided to grant your request.

Please contact Professor McDonald to make the appropriate arrangements regarding the new and final submission date for the outstanding course deliverables, which must be completed by April 30th, 2023 at the latest. I will send in a separate email, the Final Essay Guidelines for your review.

Going forward, I strongly suggest that you pause and evaluate your progress in your courses during week 7 of the term and if you have fallen behind in your course work, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop date deadline.

Another tool to manage your academics in addition to dropping a course by the drop deadline is our Academic Consideration protocol. A student can request short term consideration if they need more time to complete an assignment or miss a class due to documented extenuating circumstances.
